Despite the fact that every single person in a 50 mile radius had the same idea that day and it was miserably humid, we had a fantastic time. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we totally lost track of time and were shocked to glance at the clock for the first time and realize that four hours had already passed! Nadia and Caden are similar in many ways, and I think it's a relief for both Jaimee and myself to see other spirited, rambunctious kids - ahhh, it's not just me! The kids really did do quite well, tho.
The penguins were absolutely the highlight of the day. Oh my goodness, Caden was SO excited, and his excitement really got Nadia going too! Seriously cute. Unfortunately, it was so crazy crowded in there I didn't even really attempt to take pictures. Jaimee, did any of the video turn out?
Here are a few pictures of our adventure! please pardon the rather eclectic editing styles. And yes, we really were at the zoo even tho there aren't any animals visible!

Both kids in the frame and looking at the camera - it's a success!

Nadia really has a thing lately for pushing strollers. and grocery carts. and bikes. Yes, we push bikes rather than ride them.

Cole just might be the sweetest baby ever! All you have to do is look at him, and he erupts into huge delighted grins. So precious!

This last collage was our failed attempt to get a group photo before parting ways at the end of the day. Clearly, hot and tired kids do not make for the most cooperative subjects! I find it very amusing, and for that reason I'm naming it my Best Shot for the week!

As we settled into the car, Nadia lamented in the most pitiful voice, "I miss my Caden and Cole now." Jaimee, I guess that just means we'll have to do it again!

It looks like you guys had so much fun! I love all of the shots and the collage is so wonderful. Very "in the moment". You can tell there was some slight chaos. :0)
These are all so cute! Definitely looks like a good time was had by all. I really love the collage - the perfect depiction of a crazy day with three little ones!
ooks like fun was had....where are the animals??? tee hee
love the monkey's though.
Looks like you had fun! My son is a "pusher" too. He pushes everything, even bikes. Cracks me up.
What a great series of photos! My favorite is the top right of the collage with all the kids piling on!
Oh, those are great! I love the collage, too...it makes me smile and poor Jaimee trying to get them all looking and cooperating! What a trooper!
I think my fave is the one one of Caden looking over the rail, though. I really love that one!
oh yeah, that last collage is a gem -- kudos to jaimee for trying to corral all three :)!
Nicely Done. Very nice.
I love the collage. I love to hear how you both have very spirited, energetic, rambunctious, toddlers. I swear I am the only one in my area (LOL). I want to move to Texas so we can hang out with the Rowdy Bunch. Even my sister the mother of 3 with 2 girls and a boy could not believe how much of a handful Francesco was and with Nicolo in toe she is praying for me (LOL).
What a fun collage for BSM. All of the photos are fabulous, though!
The collage is great. I love little Cole looking over the top like what's the deal with those two? I am glad you guys had a good time!!
The fact that Jaimee was with you makes me so mad we didn't run into each other. I've yet to meet her (of course I would've wanted to see you girls too!!)
Love Nadia's zoo appropriate outfit!
I love that last collage - while you may not have gotten the 'perfect shot', you certain managed to capture the mood and the day perfectly. Glad you all had fun!
I think my fave is also the one of Caden looking over the fence. Nice that you guys can meet up.
Ahh, the zoo. It's just so darn hot. I think your zoo might have better animals then ours.
Oh, my goodness...I love that last shot of Jaimee trying to wrangle the kids together! Great shots from the zoo, and love that Nadia is wearing a giraffe print skirt. Too cute!
I love all of them, but yeah, that collage is perfect. No better way to sum up a day at the zoo!
I love the collage. I wonder if Nadia would have been as cooperative if YOU had been the one trying to corral the kids.
Keep up the great work.
You're making me a bit homesick though.
I think all of the imperfect shots add up together to PERFECTION.
Most importantly they tell a story, convey a feeling, define a moment in time.
Which you seem to do excellently in your photography!
You know, I didn't realize this the first time I saw this, but the pics of Cole in the collage look different of him than I've seen before - like I can see how he will look when he is a little older! I think my fav is that lower right on the collage because of the top of Caden's head popping out from the bottom - that CRACKS me up!!!
Thanks for taking some great pics of the day for me! Maybe when it is cooler we can go to the Arboretum & you guys are welcome any time to come for a day of swimming and a movie in our theatre room!!
I was going to ask where all the photos of the monkeys are, but I finally found them there in that last photo. ;-} I'd say that was an admirable effort in getting a group shot!
