Blossoming Blogger Award

How many of you can say there was a blog award created just for you?

Cuz I can!

That’s right! My awesome buddy Kimberly created the Blossoming Blogger Award in my honor. Wow, how cool is she?!

Kimberly wrote “the Blossoming Blogger Award should be bestowed upon one worthy someone whose blog you have read and watched develop and 'blossom' into something you feel is special and award worthy.”

And then she chose me as the very first ever recipient of this special award. Wow! Thank you my friend, I am truly honored.


I should have planned better and combined this with my previous post, as in tallying the comments I’ve received thus far I saw a good overview of how Momology has blossomed since the first post last March. The index is organized with 25 posts per page, and as I clicked from one page to the next I noticed a steady rise in the number of comments per group of 25 – 89 for the group, 257 for the most recent group!

That was exciting for me to see how this blog has taken root and flourished. But more important then those cold, hard stats is the intangible ways in which Momology has blossomed – the friends I’ve made, the connections I’ve forged the support I’ve found.And so I thank you for helping Momology to blossom as it has, and I look forward to watching together as it continues to flourish.

Part of receiving a blogging award is the privilege of passing it on to another worthy blogger. I have watched many excellent blogs flourish and grow in the time I’ve been blogging, but most of them were already well established when I came along and joined their circle of readers. I want this award to go to a new blogger, someone who recently joined the world of blogging and is “making it.”

That person is Laura at Synchronization of Us. Laura’s first post came just days before mine, and since then her blog has blossomed into a nice little community. Each time I click over to her site, I observe that her community of readers/commentores has grown again, and I see her comments everywhere I go. And along with her blossoming blog, I have watched her photography of her adorable girls blossom and grow as well.

So Laura, this is for you. --------------
